Craps Game Objective
A craps game begins by placing the bet on the table, then the player (known as the “shooter”) rolling two dice, on a come-out roll. If the total of the dice is 2, 3 or 12 the shooter loses immediately. If it is seven (7) or eleven (11), it is labelled a natural and they win automatically. If they roll 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10 or 11, that number is set as their ‘point’ and they have to roll again. Their object is now to roll their point number again before they roll a 7 but if the Shooter rolls 7 first then the Shooter losses.
Basic Strategy of the Craps Game
Craps game seems to be intricate. But as far as the betters are concerned, they bet on one of two simple choices – the ‘Pass’ line or the ‘Don’t Pass’ bar.
To bet on the pass line means that you think the shooter will win. To bet on the “don’t pass line” means you are not assuming that the shooter will win, but such bet is considered to bad luck by many.
We’re not going to get into Craps theory too much, but a good strategy for any player who likes action is to have a new bet on either the ‘Pass line’ or ‘Come’ (coming out roll) on every throw. The come line is the same as to the pass bet, but is done after a come-out roll.
Playing craps can be intimidating that’s because craps game really is a high speed, high action game. Once you know how to play you will understand what all the excitement is about.
