Despite popular belief, Baccarat is not for High Rollers only. This game is accessible to anyone wishing to play. It may also look complicated, but after reading our rules of the game, you’ll see just how easy it is to play. In online Baccarat, the game is usually played with 6 – 8 decks of cards adn as many as 12 – 14 players at a time. The number cards less than 10 are at face value, the Ace is valued at one and all 10’s and face cards are valued at 0. This makes the highest hand a 9.
Each of the players may take turns at being the dealer, and can also pass on this if they choose. If a player declines the deal, the Shoe is passed to the next player, and so on. The game begins with the players making a bet on one of two possibilities, there is a third bet possibility, the Standoff Bet, but it is not widely used. The Banker normally bets on the Banker’s Hand, the player is free to bet either way. The bets are placed in the Player box, the Banker box or the Standoff (tie) box. What this indicates is which hand you think will win, yours, the bankers or a tie. Two cards are then dealt to the Banker and then to the Player(s). Card values are figured by adding the value of both cards together, then using the digit on the right. For instance, 5 + 7 = 12, the hand value is 2. A third card may be drawn by the player or the banker when the following rules apply:
Third Card Rules for the Player
